Matte gray or matte black primer, depending on availability, applied with an airbrush.

Base size adapted to the size of the miniature (25mm for "Medium" miniatures, 51mm for "Large" miniatures, 76mm for "Very Large" miniatures, and 102mm for "Gigantic" miniatures).
